About Marann Jones

Meet Marann Jones

Marann Jones is an experienced landscape designer who has worked in the landscaping field since graduating from the University of Massachusetts in 1985.

She believes it's very important to put one's clients first by listening to their needs. Her goal is to make your vision come to life to help you commune with nature and enjoy the living space of the outdoors. Marann loves to design landscapes using rare and native plants through technical drawings, hand drawings, and computer-aided drawings. Her previous projects include:
  • Planting design for the Abbottstown Square, PA Beautification Project
  • Helping to establish a butterfly garden locally at Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve in Fairfield, PA
  • Supported, consulted on, and designed government, home, and businesses in Liberia for the Department of Public Works in West Africa
  • Designed hard and soft landscapes as well as worked on budgets and proposals for the Sheffield City Council landscape department in Sheffield, England
She also incorporates the theory of landscaping design into her projects. Marann is an adjunct faculty instructor and lecturer at Carroll Community College in Westminster, MD, where she teaches adult garden classes and how to design your home landscape using native plants. She also organized and initiated an entirely new Master Gardener Program to meet a need in the community that was not being reached.

Marann takes delight on being a no-nonsense person who will do whatever it takes to get the job done on time. If that means getting down on her hands and knees to personally get the work done, she will do it. Her goal is always to complete your landscaping project in a timely fashion while ensuring your complete satisfaction.

Marann Is an Experienced Landscape Designer and Consultant

Marann is a landscaping consultant and designer who received her BSc in landscaping, planning, and environmental design from the Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Massachusetts.
Later, Marann earned her postgraduate diploma in landscape design, architecture, and design from the University of Sheffield in England. She is an adjunct faculty instructor and lecturer at Carroll Community College in Westminster, MD.
Marann has also been a Penn State Master Gardener of Adams County and the Agriculture Department of Adams County extension office branch in Pennsylvania for the past 10 years. She also enjoys teaching gardening with children.
